The birth of a Westie litter is fraught with excitement and worry.
They are just so tiny and vulnerable.
Here you see them at just three days.
This litter however, right from the beginning was active, vigorous [despite
what you see here] and all seemed to  always have a full little belly.

Still not much happeneing except for thriving and eyes

The pink stuff at Lucianne's neck is raw
chicken carcass.  The puppies are already
eating minced chicken and beginning to chew
[suck?] on the carcasses.
Three and a half weeks.
Above and below - Stephen introducing the Westie puppies to their new [temporary] home.
Almost five weeks.
The puppies are put in a temporary
holding pen alongside a Gold Retriever
litter, while the outdoor pen was being
scrubbed.  This was their first close
encounter with other dogs.

The Westies have their first serious interaction with the Golden Retriever Puppies.  These puppies are four days older than the Westies.
Our five well nourished, healthy and happy puppies.
Here the puppies are lined up for their first real inspection.
