Not a lot happens for a while but when we got to Avon Downs rest area,
we got a glimpse of how many travellers were on the road.
We had been travelling on our own since Barcaldine but would meet up with Dawn at Three Ways.
On my previous visit here, at the Barkly Homestead, I was with Lindy and it was the middle of an
out of season heat wave. This time we had the unusual occurrence of rain.
And here is Dawn!

The photo below, has quite a story. Dawn snapped this shot and if you have a good
look at Angus' face, you can see that he has surely been up to something. It was a
morning at a rest area. I had made a bacon and egg toasted sandwich for breakfast.
like 'is there any more of that?' When I turned back to my breakfast, it was gone and
the crumbs had been cleaned up as well.

Last camp before Kakadu.
the Harriet Creek camping area, we pack our rigs and, in the morning, we head for Kakadu National Park.
Four of us left together but one is soon put off by the dirt roads so it became Dawn, Jen and I.
